Tags allow you a flexible way to categorize your contacts. Unlike stages, a contact may have multiple tags.

Applying a Tag to a Contact

Click the plus + icon on the left to bring up the tag list. You can select multiple tags to apply. If you don't see the tag you want, type it in, and you will be able to create it as a new tag. When finished, click "Save Tags".

Filtering by Tags

1. Open the filter window, and then click "Add a filter." Type in tag to pull up the tags filter:

2. Choose how you'd like to filter for tags and then enter the tag(s) you'd like to apply to that filter. Note that you can create multiple tag filters, for example if you want to create a list where you look for leads with tag Sphere but exclude tag Buyer Lead, you can create two filters. One for including the Sphere tag and then one for excluding the Buyer Lead tag.

You can also manage all of your tags by going to Admin > Tags. All your tags will be displayed.

Tags are sorted alphabetically, and you can search for a tag by name. You can edit and delete tags if you are an Admin.

If you click on the name of the tag, it will show you all the contacts who have that tag. If all the contacts with a certain tag are in Trash, the tag will show up on this page, but won't be linkable. 

Adding and removing tags on iPhone

To add a tag in the iPhone app:

1. Open the contact's profile.

2. Tap the Tags field.

3. Start typing your tag, then tap on one of the results to select an existing tag, or click "create new tag" to create a new one.

4. Click "Done" to save the tag.

To remove a tag on iPhone:

1. Open the contact's profile.

2. Tap the Tags field.

3. Tap "Edit"

4. Tap the delete icon or slide left on the tag you'd like to delete, then tap "Save."
